BANGKOK POST. Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier discussed issues related to investment, energy, security and climate change, economy and tourism.

CCTV. The death toll from the landslide in Zhaotong City on the morning of January 22 rose to 43, with rescuers working through the night in the hope of finding more survivors.

YONHAP. ​​South Korea plans to tighten national health insurance criteria for foreigners' dependents to control insurance spending and prevent abuse of the state health care system.

BLOOMBERG. The European Central Bank (ECB) announced its decision to keep interest rates at a record high of 4%, while reaffirming its commitment to fighting inflation.

America

REUTERS. The United States and Britain will impose new sanctions on leaders of the Iran-aligned Houthi group, including at least four senior figures facing asset freezes and travel bans.

CNN. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called on Congress to break the deadlock and re-approve the two-decade-old plan to fight HIV/AIDS.

BLOOMBERG. US technology corporation Microsoft officially joined the club of companies with a market capitalization of 3,000 billion USD with the "giant" Apple.
