On the evening of October 25, the UNESCO Center for Research, Conservation and Promotion of Oriental Cultural Values under the UNESCO Association of Hanoi opened the "Vietnam - China Friendship Cultural Exchange Exhibition" in 2024 to introduce, promote and spread the values of Zi Sha Teapot art (China).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Hanoi UNESCO Association Truong Minh Tien affirmed that the goal of these activities is to preserve and promote the typical cultural, scientific and educational values of the capital, connect and spread them to contribute to strengthening the friendship between Hanoi and international friends.
According to the Chairman of the Hanoi UNESCO Association, the exhibition is part of a series of events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being recognized by UNESCO as a City for Peace and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Hanoi UNESCO Association. It is also a practical activity to further strengthen the Vietnam-China friendship and celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Director of the UNESCO Center for Research, Preservation and Promotion of Oriental Cultural Values - Ms. Tran Mai Phuong said that researching, preserving and spreading domestic cultural values is the focus of the organization, aiming to affirm the contribution of traditional culture in the process of international integration.
Accordingly, it is expected that the center will become a cultural destination, contributing to promoting friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China, as well as between Vietnam and other countries.
Representing Chinese artists, lecturer at Shanghai University of Fine Arts Sun Liqiang shared that art is a connection and a borderless source of inspiration between cultures of different nations. Accordingly, Vietnam and China have many cultural similarities, so the exhibition is a vivid demonstration of the close relationship between the two countries.
The products displayed at the exhibition are not only creative, but also the crystallization of the process of preserving and promoting long-standing heritage values.
