Emotions settle
“Tomorrow, when spring comes, flowers will bloom all over the house/I will find a soldier and give him a gift/Let's tell him stories of the past/Those days of war when he fought bravely/We welcome spring with flags and flowers in celebration/Our people, young and old/We will sing a song together...”.
If not witnessing it with their own eyes, few would think that those lively lyrics and those cheerful eyes belonged to "singers" who have entered their 80s. The artists of the Propaganda Department of Ba Ria-Long Khanh-Bien Hoa still make listeners excited with their singing and chanting of revolutionary propaganda songs, such as: Spring in the war zone, O hai dau noi nho, Sai Gon quat khoi and Storm noi len roi.

Below the hall, hundreds of people clapped to the music, singing along with the troupe. The atmosphere of the meeting was both joyful and cozy.
“I joined the art troupe when I was in my teens. Through the rain of bombs and bullets, we sang for major events and conferences, sang for wounded soldiers and our compatriots. We traveled to battlefields, carried ammunition, took care of wounded soldiers, fought with guns, and then sang to serve everyone. Now that peace has been restored, every time we get to sing for our comrades, I am still filled with emotion,” said Pham Thi My Hanh, 78, a member of the art troupe.
Stay proactive on the ideological front Attending and speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Pham Viet Thanh said that hostile forces at home and abroad consider ideology and theory as the key to attack and sabotage. This is a challenge for the Party and directly the Propaganda sector in the new revolutionary period. Therefore, each Propaganda officer must constantly strive, practice, study to improve knowledge, be proactive and creative in work, "take the positive, push back the negative", "match words with actions", stick to reality to detect and promptly propose solutions to arising situations. The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that the Propaganda staff of the two provinces of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Dong Nai need to continue to cultivate and train to improve the quality and effectiveness of their advice according to the motto "Courage, intelligence, solidarity, initiative, innovation, creativity" to successfully carry out their tasks. |
Unforgettable days
In the joyful and warm atmosphere of the meeting, the delegates reviewed the traditions as well as the process of formation, development and operation of the Committee during the period of resistance against the US to save the country.
According to the requirements of each revolutionary period, along with the merger and division of boundaries, the Propaganda Department of Ba Ria-Long Khanh-Bien Hoa was also separated and merged many times. However, regardless of the circumstances and working positions, the propaganda cadres have constantly strived to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and the Revolution. Up to now, when the country is unified, each person is in a different place, but they still maintain regular contact and a close, close comradely relationship.
