A new study by the Center for Advanced Threat Response and Preparedness Simulation (CAPTRS, USA) shows that artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to help detect risk signs and may even prevent sudden cardiac death.
According to CAPTRS, AI analyzed health factors to identify those at “very high risk of sudden cardiac death” among 25,000 people in Paris (France) and Seattle (USA) who died from sudden cardiac arrest and another 70,000 living people, categorized by age, gender, and neighborhood.

Furthermore, according to Phil Siegel, founder of CAPTRS, researchers use AI to create personalized risk equations for individuals by combining data on high blood pressure treatment, heart disease history, and behavioral disorders such as alcohol abuse. The American Medical Association estimates that AI can identify over 90% of the likelihood of individuals at risk of sudden death, helping doctors make earlier and more helpful diagnoses.
