On the morning of November 23, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Construction Association, the Vietnam Association of Architects, the Ministry of Construction and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held the 36th Loa Thanh Award Ceremony in 2024.
This year, the Award recorded 193 submitted projects, 11 more than in 2023. Some schools with a tradition of continuing to submit a large number of projects to the Award, typically Hanoi University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering...

However, some universities that won high prizes in previous years did not send many entries this year, or even no projects. This reflects the difficulties of the schools in recruiting and training, or perhaps due to the limitations of the attractiveness of the Prize.
The projects in the engineering, construction and construction economics categories generally have the same quality as in previous years. The number of projects in the architecture and planning category has increased, accounting for nearly 70% of the total number of entries to the award, with topics quite diverse in genre, but mainly focusing on public works.
