6 Vietnamese universities entered the world rankings

Recently, the Times Higher Education ranking organization announced the results of the 2024 world university rankings (THE WUR 2024).

Notably, Vietnam has 6 ranked higher education institutions including Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Duy Tan University, Ton Duc Thang University and Hue University.

This is also the ranking with the largest number of participating higher education institutions, with 2,673 higher education institutions from 127 countries and territories.

In addition, the results of THE WUR 2024 ranking criteria were also analyzed from more than 134 million citations of 16.5 million scientific publications on the Scopus database and survey data of 68,402 scholars worldwide.

According to the announced results, Duy Tan University and Ton Duc Thang University are ranked in the 601-800 group; Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Hue University are ranked in the 1201-1500 group.

Also according to the results of THE WUR 2024, the top 5 leading universities in the world are Oxford University, Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University and Cambridge University.

In Asia, top universities include: Tsinghua University and Peking University (China), National University of Singapore, University of Tokyo, Nanyang Technological University-Singapore, University of Hong Kong.
