Due to the impact of storm No. 6 Tra Mi, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just sent a document to the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation, 4 airports: Da Nang, Phu Bai, Dong Hoi, Chu Lai; Northern and Central Airports Authority about temporarily suspending aircraft operations.

According to the meteorological forecast at 10:00 a.m. on October 26 from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting and the Aviation Meteorological Center, storm No. 6 (storm Tra Mi) is likely to directly affect and threaten the safety of operations at a number of airports.

To ensure safety at airports, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has decided to temporarily suspend receiving and operating aircraft at Phu Bai International Airport from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on October 27; Da Nang International Airport from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. on October 28; Dong Hoi Airport from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on October 27; and Chu Lai Airport from 10:00 a.m. on October 27 to 10:00 a.m. on October 28.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just requested the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to implement aviation information announcements according to current regulations and ensure absolute flight safety.

For the Northern and Central Airports Authorities, the Department requires these units to inspect and supervise the safety of operations at airports according to regulations.

In addition, the Department also requested agencies and units to immediately report on difficulties and problems (if any) during the implementation process, in order to promptly adjust the exploitation plan at airports accordingly.
