(Dan Tri) - 33 martyrs' remains were brought from southern cemeteries to provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Yen Bai, Nghe An... leaving many good impressions on the martyrs' relatives and people across the country.
On December 12, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs and Vietnam Railways Corporation summarized the coordination activities in transporting martyrs' remains back home.
Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, emphasized that transporting remains by train instead of car not only helps protect the remains of martyrs but also reduces the financial burden on relatives.

The program has received support and consensus from martyrs' families and the community, demonstrating the spirit of "repaying gratitude" and the nation's morality of "remembering the source of water".
According to Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung, the transportation of martyrs' remains by train was carried out thoughtfully, safely, and solemnly, from issuing tickets, welcoming relatives, to arranging accommodation on the train.
"The good deeds of the Vietnam Railway industry have partly eased the pain of the martyrs' families, especially those in difficult circumstances," Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung summarized.
Also at the event, delegates summarized lessons learned so that the repatriation of martyrs' remains can be implemented more effectively in the future.
It is expected that in 2025, the demand for transporting martyrs' remains by train will increase, as the work of identifying martyrs becomes faster and more effective.
Therefore, the program of gratitude and support for moving martyrs' remains by train will be maintained in the coming time.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 groups and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in supporting the movement of martyrs' remains by train in 2024.
