Using an ambulance to promote a controversial movie premiere

Immediately after that, from the car, director Hoang Tuan Cuong and actors: Bach Cong Khanh, Lan Thy, artists Minh Hoang, Tuan Dung, Hoang Yen, Le Kham... got off and went to the main stage to interact with the audience.

This action immediately caused many mixed reactions and controversy on social networks about whether the film crew violated the law by using an ambulance for film promotion purposes.

The Yin and Yang Road is promoted as the first road horror film in Vietnamese cinema. The film also depicts the profession of an ambulance driver. Previously, director Hoang Tuan Cuong said that the story in the film was distilled from the profession of ambulance driving, which the crew researched and consulted with people who are currently working in this profession in real life.

At the film's promotion on March 19, the crew also received a question about whether after the film's release, it would make real-life ambulance drivers feel like "wanting to quit their jobs"?

The reason is because, in the visual information revealed by the crew, there are ambulance drivers in the film who had to quit their jobs because of fear when witnessing inexplicable spiritual phenomena.

In particular, the main character Trong Nhan (Bach Cong Khanh) was also forbidden by his father (artist Minh Hoang) to pursue the career of an ambulance driver.

At that time, producer Vu Thi Bich Lien shared that this is a very respectable profession. Because, those who do this job not only save sick people, there are people who are very sick, or even people who have died on those trips.

“The film is a message of love from the production team to drivers. I hope everyone will continue to dedicate themselves to this profession. I think through this film, many people will not quit the profession, and some who are uncertain will return to this profession. In addition to making a living, this is also a profession that helps society," Ms. Vu Thi Bich Lien shared.

Regarding the above controversial incident, responding to Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, the manufacturer's representative said that they have noted the information from the press. The manufacturer will respond as soon as possible.

Regarding the use of an ambulance to transport actors and artists to promote a movie premiere, on the evening of March 26, the Traffic Police Department (PC08), Ho Chi Minh City Police and related units invited the driver and brought the vehicle to clarify the incident.
