100 athletes participated in pulling cannons and pushing bicycles.

Dien Bien TV – As part of the Cultural and Sports activities within the framework of the Ban Flower Festival and the 8th Dien Bien Province Ethnic Culture and Sports Festival in 2025. On the morning of March 15, teams from districts, towns and cities in the province continued to participate in the fireworks pulling and ammunition bicycle pushing competitions.

At the De Castries Bunker and A1 Hill relic sites, 23 teams with more than 100 athletes participated in events such as pulling artillery, pushing bicycles, supplying food, and loading ammunition. For the artillery pulling competition, the teams pulled uphill over a distance of 250m and pushed bicycles, loaded ammunition, over obstacles, and through 400m long trenches.

The contest not only recreates the heroic images that our ancestors experienced in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign but also helps teams, people and tourists better understand the work of logistics, ammunition loading, and artillery pulling to support the front line, creating the Dien Bien Phu Victory that is famous in five continents and shook the world.
