Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Duy Chinh emphasized that since its establishment, our Party has recognized the great role and potential and highly appreciated the contributions of women, helping women promote their role and position, ensuring equal rights and creating conditions for women to participate in contributing to the revolutionary cause of the nation. Inheriting Ho Chi Minh's thought, our Party and State have always paid deep attention and issued many policies to promote the role and position of women, aiming at the goals of realizing equal rights and the advancement of women. For Bac Kan province, in recent years, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province have issued policies, projects, programs, and plans on women's work and gender equality. Women's cadres and members have promoted the tradition of solidarity and creativity in studying, working and working, achieving many outstanding achievements in the fields of politics, economics, culture, society, security and defense, making an important contribution to the development of our province.

The conference is an opportunity for provincial leaders to directly meet, listen to opinions, aspirations, and recommendations of women in the province in the process of implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, especially policies directly related to the legitimate rights and interests of female cadres and members; at the same time, to encourage and motivate female cadres and members to compete in labor, production, work and study, striving to successfully complete the socio-economic development goals and tasks of the province, contributing to the construction of Bac Kan homeland.

Reporting at the Conference on the results of women's participation in socio-economic development, Party building and political system building in recent times, Comrade Trieu Thi Thuy - President of the Provincial Women's Union affirmed that with a rate of nearly 50% of the total population, Bac Kan women are a large labor force actively participating in socio-economic development. In recent times, the Women's Union at all levels has focused on directing and supporting female members to develop the economy through many forms. Up to now, in the province, there have been many exemplary women in production labor, economic development, business ownership, and cooperatives who have been commended and honored for their outstanding contributions and achievements in economic development.

Performing well the role and function of the Women's Union in participating in Party and government building, and performing well the work of social supervision and criticism, in the past 5 years, the Women's Union at all levels has proactively organized nearly 800 supervision sessions on issues related to women, children and gender equality, thereby promptly detecting and recommending to the Party Committees and authorities to remove related difficulties and obstacles. Along with that, nearly 130 conferences and meetings were organized to collect comments on draft documents of Party congresses at all levels, draft laws and resolutions of People's Councils at all levels, socio-economic development programs and projects, etc.

The work of building the Association's organization has always been focused on. The Association at all levels has paid attention to building a strong organization from the grassroots, actively innovating the content and forms of activities, expanding the types of gatherings, and diversifying the content of activities according to the motto "Where there are women, there are Association activities". Up to now, the whole province has 65,800 members, accounting for 84% of women in the area.

In an atmosphere of democratic, frank, enthusiastic, responsible and constructive exchange and dialogue, the Dialogue Conference had 18 direct comments on issues that female cadres and members in the province were interested in, directly related to the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of the majority of women. The comments focused on key areas such as: Promoting the role of women in participating in Party building, the political system and female cadre work; women participating in economic and social development; gender equality work... All comments and recommendations were fully and satisfactorily exchanged and answered by provincial leaders and leaders of departments and branches, partly resolving the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of members and women in the province.

In his closing speech at the Conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Duy Chinh emphasized that through direct dialogue, the current situation and issues that are receiving attention from women in Bac Kan province as well as the implementation of women's work and gender equality in the recent past have been analyzed and clarified; thereby suggesting to provincial leaders, Party committees, authorities, agencies, units and localities to continue to have timely solutions to remove difficulties, in order to continue promoting the role, position and great potential of women in the new era.

However, within the time frame of the Conference, many delegates have not yet had the opportunity to ask questions or directly express their thoughts and aspirations. Therefore, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Women's Union to preside over and direct all levels of the Union to synthesize opinions and recommendations of members and women throughout the province to propose to the provincial leaders and relevant departments, branches, localities, agencies and units for research and response. At the same time, the Provincial Party Committee assigned the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments, branches, agencies, units and localities according to their functions and tasks, based on current legal regulations, to research and respond in writing to the localities and units where women have comments. For matters beyond the province's authority, the provincial leaders will direct the transfer of opinions, proposals and recommendations to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.

To continue to effectively implement patriotic emulation movements, socio-economic development goals and tasks, ensure national defense and security, build the Party and the political system, implement gender equality, and advance women in the coming time, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Duy Chinh requested Party committees and authorities at all levels, units and localities to seriously absorb women's opinions and recommendations to review, study and perfect regulations within their authority and advise on mechanisms, policies, solutions, programs and projects to support women in participating in socio-economic development, vocational training, job creation and gender equality; continue to thoroughly grasp, propagate and effectively organize the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's and the province's policies and laws on women's work and gender equality; pay attention to directing to ensure the proportion of female cadres in the upcoming Party Congress term according to regulations; Pay attention to leadership, direct the participation and coordination between all levels and sectors in women's work and promote gender equality; build a safe living environment for women and children...

Women's Unions at all levels in the province have strengthened political and ideological education and traditional education for women of all classes.
