(Dan Tri) - Dai Truong Phat Education Group (DTP) has just organized a workshop on "Digital transformation in educational innovation and assessment", gathering representatives from Departments, Offices of Education and Training, Universities, Colleges and Foreign Language Centers nationwide.
Besides marking strategic cooperation with international testing organization LanguageCert, the event is a forum for sharing about teaching and assessing English in Vietnam and the world.
Add global assessment benchmarks
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) said that developed countries have digitized their examination systems and applied automatic scoring to ensure transparency, accuracy, and save resources.
In Vietnam, although the digital transformation process is taking place step by step, with the determination of the Government and the education sector, online exams and the application of technology to assess foreign language proficiency are becoming more and more popular. The appearance of international exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, VSTEP, Cambridge English, and LanguageCert helps learners access global assessment standards.

Dr. Le Hoang Dung, Head of the English Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, mentioned the diversity in the form of English proficiency assessment tests.
Accordingly, instead of being limited to a few popular exams, expanding the options with exams like LanguageCert will help students have more opportunities to choose exams that suit their personal goals, from studying abroad, settling down to working in an international environment.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Ngoc Hong Phuoc, Head of DTP Training Department, shared that to grasp this trend, DTP has cooperated with LanguageCert to bring a high-quality language proficiency assessment system. This cooperation was approved by the Ministry of Education and Training under Decision No. 07/QD-BGDDT issued on January 3.

Solutions to improve education quality
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Hong - Former Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and many experts commented that with the requirements from the Department of Education on digital transformation, organizing tests on digital platforms at least once per semester, teachers need comprehensive support to effectively meet educational goals. In addition, teaching support software, vocabulary review games and online tests not only help students access knowledge in a vivid way but also create an effective learning environment, reducing pressure on teachers.
With the LCMS i-School system, DTP supports teachers by building a systematic test matrix and question bank, ensuring fairness, transparency, and test quality. The question compilation process is carefully carried out, from determining the test structure, compilation, feedback, adjustment to data entry and quality control.
The question bank is updated annually and evaluated by a third party, providing teachers with a rich source of materials to create questions, while students can self-assess their abilities through the tools provided by DTP.
