Searches for flights and accommodations for year-end holidays have skyrocketed on search platforms.
Traveloka, Southeast Asia’s leading travel platform, announced the successful results of its 10.10 Travel Fest promotion, with a 127% surge in searches for flights and accommodations for the year-end holidays. With discounts of up to 50%, the program helped travelers plan ahead and make their dream vacations a reality.
Not only creating a fever for booking travel services, the program also revealed prominent travel trends, shaping consumer behavior across the region, demonstrating high demand and anticipation from travelers in making the most of the year-end holidays, and the beginning of 2025, to take travel itineraries and create meaningful experiences.

“The 10.10 Travel Fest program demonstrates our ongoing commitment to understanding and meeting the ever-changing needs of travelers," Mr. Caesar Indra, President of Traveloka, said.
According to Traveloka President, by anticipating these trends and providing personalized solutions on the platform, the platform helps travelers plan with confidence, and explore new travel possibilities. This campaign not only brings great value to travelers, but also reinforces our role in supporting the recovery and growth of tourism in the region.
The program has brought together leading travel partners and hotel brands such as Qatar Airways, Millennium Hotels & Resorts, Universal Studios Singapore, and more, offering travelers exclusive deals on flights, hotels, and activities. With options ranging from family vacations, overseas travel, cruises, and unique accommodation experiences, these partners have helped the program cater to the diverse interests of travelers.
International flight bookings surge
Traveloka’s 10.10 Travel Fest has created a wave of early bookings, with nearly 60% of travelers booking international flights more than 30 days in advance. This trend shows that travelers are planning earlier to get the best deals. With exclusive, limited-time offers, the program has inspired travelers to plan early, ensuring exciting and cost-effective trips.
Top destinations for Vietnamese tourists
Traveloka’s 10.10 Travel Fest revealed the most searched destinations for Vietnamese travelers. Internationally, South Korea, Taiwan (China), China, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia remained among the top choices.
In the country, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue and Vinh are the most prominent destinations, attracting tourists with many beautiful landscapes, and diverse cultural and culinary experiences.
This year’s program not only emphasizes the “attraction” of these locations, but also shows that tourists’ needs when choosing travel experiences are quite diverse. From bustling city life to peaceful beach resorts, all attract a large number of visitors.
10.10 Travel Fest also saw a doubling in cruise bookings, reflecting growing interest in unique and all-inclusive travel experiences.
Cruises are becoming an attractive option for year-end celebrations, offering travelers the opportunity to explore multiple destinations, while still enjoying comfort and leisure at sea.
Unique and local accommodation
Southeast Asian travelers are increasingly looking for unique holidays that offer authentic cultural experiences. Ryokan, with their traditional Japanese charm, have seen an impressive 101% growth in searches, while cruise searches have increased by 52%, allowing travelers to experience destinations from a whole new perspective.
Additionally, searches for Riad-style accommodations, a traditional Moroccan home, have increased by 63%, highlighting the shift towards culturally rich and meaningful travel experiences that go beyond the typical hotel stay.
