The fire broke out at 2:30 p.m. on October 3, on Thach Lam Street, Tan Phu District (HCMC).
A young man was driving a Pega S electric motorbike on Thach Lam Street in the direction of Binh Long Street towards Luy Ban Bich Street.
When arriving at 97 Thach Lam (Hiep Tan ward), the car caught fire and billowed smoke.
Hearing the people shouting about the fire, the young man quickly stopped his motorbike by the side of the road. In just a split second, the fire flared up fiercely, engulfing the entire electric motorbike.
Young people and local residents mobilized nearly 10 mini fire extinguishers to approach and spray, but the electric motorbike was still engulfed in flames.
Electric motorbike burned down to the iron frame.
By the time the professional fire brigade arrived to control the fire, the electric motorbike had been burned to the ground, leaving only the iron frame.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the police.
