On December 14, information from the Department of Construction of Long An province said that there are currently 7 social housing projects with more than 1,800 completed apartments in the province. These projects are located in the districts of Duc Hoa, Can Giuoc, and Tan An City.

In December 2023, investors will start construction of 3 more social housing projects in Duc Hoa and Ben Luc districts. Specifically, Duc Hoa district has 2 projects with an area of 16 hectares, with a scale of over 3,000 apartments. Ben Luc district has 1 project with an area of about 1 hectare, with a scale of about 1,000 apartments.
Data from the Department of Construction of Long An province also shows that in 2023 - 2024, Long An province will have 14 social housing projects started in the districts of Ben Luc, Duc Hoa, Can Duoc with an area of over 65 hectares, scale of more than 14.6 thousand apartments.
Of which, Duc Hoa district has 9 projects with a scale of more than 12 thousand apartments; Ben Luc district has 4 projects with about 2,5 thousand apartments and Can Duoc district has 1 project with a scale of 900 apartments.
In addition, in the 2024-2025 period, Long An province will continue to implement 19 projects in the districts of Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Can Duoc, Can Giuoc, Duc Hue, Thu Thua, Tan Tru with a total area of over 83 hectares, with a scale of about 24.4 thousand units. Long An province strives to achieve the Government's target of 71.2 thousand social housing units by 2030.
It is known that Long An province currently has 37 industrial parks with a total planned area of nearly 13 thousand hectares. Of which, 18 industrial parks have come into operation.
The number of workers in industrial parks is about 212 thousand people. It is expected to increase to about 305 thousand people by 2030, so the demand for housing for workers in industrial parks is very large, accounting for about 50% of the current workforce.

In addition, Long An currently has about 4,800 boarding houses invested and built by households and individuals with about 77,200 boarding houses, meeting the needs of more than 156,000 workers and laborers living in industrial parks and clusters.
