The clip recorded in the early morning of May 31 shows a woman holding a newborn baby and shaking it violently, causing the baby to cry. The woman then continues to pick up and shake the baby violently, causing the baby to cry even more, before placing it down on the bed.
Immediately after the clip was posted online, many people were outraged. According to the investigation, the incident occurred at an apartment in the HH Linh Dam apartment complex (Hoang Liet ward, Hoang Mai district, Hanoi). The person who committed the abuse was hired by the child's family to take care of the child because the child's mother had just given birth prematurely and was in poor health.
Responding to VTC News reporter, Mr. NVB (relative of the child suspected of being abused) said that the family has reported to the police to resolve the matter, and the child is currently being monitored at the hospital.
