U23 Vietnam won against U23 Philippines with the only goal scored by Huu Tuan in the 18th minute. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team won the top spot in Group C and will meet the top team in Group B in the semi-finals of the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 tournament. In this group, U23 Malaysia has the right to decide when they only have to meet U23 Timor Leste in the final match.
