PVF-CAND Youth Football Club has just signed an official contract with Pham Duc Thong to prepare for the 2024/25 National Second Division season. Previously, this team had the services of several experienced players in V.League such as Viet Truong, Nhu Tuan and especially veteran striker Hoang Dinh Tung.
Pham Duc Thong, born in 1997, can play well in positions such as winger and midfielder. In fact, he had an impressive period of playing for SLNA and Pho Hien FC (the predecessor of PVF-CAND at this time). In 2019, he was called up by coach Park Hang Seo to the Vietnam U23 team to prepare for the 30th SEA Games. However, Duc Thong was not allowed to participate in this tournament.
Duc Thong returns to the professional playing field.
After a few years of not being able to develop his career as expected, Duc Thong decided to choose another job and play amateur football. Having both extra income and satisfying his passion, the player from Nghe An seemed to be satisfied with what he had.
But when the opportunity to return to the professional field appeared, Duc Thong seized it and returned to practice for his old team. Injuries were part of the reason why Duc Thong could not really play football to his full potential. This time, he will have more time to find his way back to his dream of playing on the field. Many of Duc Thong's teammates on the "amateur" field were not as lucky as this midfielder.
This year, the National Second Division witnessed the promotion competition of many potential teams such as Bac Ninh FC, Da Nang Youth, Quang Nam Youth and PVF-CAND Youth Football Club.
In the near future, PVF-CAND Youth will likely continue to have important personnel additions. The goal of coach Thach Bao Khanh and his team is to win promotion.
Bac Ninh FC is a team with great ambition and is willing to spend a lot of money to have the services of stars who have played in V.League and the National First Division.
