More than 60 households doing business in the center of Kim Bong traditional craft village, households building and repairing boats, sawing wood, having tourist attractions in the commune and located in the carpentry village participated in the dialogue. Accordingly, there were 10 comments with content related to tourism activities such as regulations on construction architecture of craft villages, displayed products, environmental sanitation, time of selling tourist tickets, support for product promotion, registration of typical trademarks, etc.
Mr. Huynh Ngoc Hung - Chairman of Cam Kim Commune People's Committee said that since 2005, Kim Bong carpentry village has been recognized as a traditional craft village; in 2016, it was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. Besides carpentry, civil carpentry, shipbuilding and repair, masonry, basket weaving, mat weaving..., Cam Kim also has a rich culinary culture, flora and fauna, and ecology.
Locally, international cooperation projects are being implemented such as: "Developing community tourism associated with preserving indigenous cultural values and natural ecosystems", "Developing sustainable community livelihood models combined with ecotourism"...
It is known that Cam Kim commune is oriented by Hoi An city to develop with typical ecological, cultural and tourist village models.
