Regarding the case of Dang Thai Mai High School, Hong Ky Commune, Soc Son District, Hanoi, which was built without permission, on the afternoon of March 24, according to Dan Viet reporters , many workers were still busy with construction even though they had previously been requested by authorities to suspend construction of the school's classroom building while completing construction-related procedures.

"Because of our limited understanding of the law on construction order management, we violated it. At first, I thought it was very simple to serve the needs of the people. I asked some people and said that this area did not need a permit, I did not think the matter would be so serious. If we had known it was wrong from the beginning, we would not have done it. We were riding on the back of a tiger! Who would want to go against the government or the law? If the authorities asked us to stop, we would stop, no one would be foolish enough to go against the law...", Mr. Sy explained.

Mr. Sy also affirmed that after March 24, he committed to strictly complying with the instructions of the authorities on suspending construction until the relevant procedures are completed. At the same time, he is also working on a project to apply for a license from the City People's Committee.

According to Dan Viet's research, this is a private school that was established 20 years ago. The school currently has 27 teachers and 270 students in grades 10 and 11. Previously, for two consecutive school years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, this school was not allowed to enroll students due to inadequate facilities.

Soc Son District People's Committee established an inspection team after feedback from Dan Viet Newspaper.

Speaking with Dan Viet reporter , Mr. Ngo Dinh Toan, Head of the Urban Construction Order Management Team of Soc Son district, said that the unit is continuing to advise the district People's Committee to issue a document urging the commune People's Committee and the Hong Ky commune police to take action. At the same time, the unit will have a meeting with the school to request the school to comply with regulations, forcing Dang Thai Mai High School to stop construction.

Speaking with Dan Viet reporter , Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc, Vice Chairman of Soc Son District People's Committee said that after receiving information that Dang Thai Mai High School was illegally built, the District People's Committee is focusing on handling it. At the same time, Soc Son District People's Committee established an inspection team to directly inspect violations at this construction site, and handle any violations accordingly.

Previously, as Dan Viet Newspaper reported, a resident in Hong Ky commune, Soc Son district, Hanoi, said that the 4-storey construction project of about 200 square meters at Dang Thai Mai High School was being carried out illegally.

Specifically, people shared that most recently, on March 7, the Urban Construction Order Management Team of Soc Son district, together with the People's Committee of Hong Ky commune and related parties, drew up a working record, clearly identifying that Dang Thai Mai High School had built a project on land that had not been granted a construction permit, seriously violating the law on construction and land management.

"However, since then, the project has continued to be built illegally, seriously affecting legitimate rights and causing outrage. In addition, if an accident occurs due to illegal construction, it will seriously affect the lives and health of people, including students studying at the school," said this resident.

Speaking with Dan Viet reporter , Ms. Doan Thi Kieu Oanh, Chief Inspector of Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that after receiving the information, the unit is sending staff to work directly with Dang Thai Mai High School to verify and clarify.
