The conference was attended by 60 reporters and nearly 300 delegates who are members of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, officials, members of member associations, branches, and units under the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals. In particular, the conference was attended by 62 young female scientists (aged 40 and under) who received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals and female scientists who received the Kovalevskaia Prize, the Vietnam Women's Prize, and the Kova Prize.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Le Thi Hop - President of the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals (VAIE) emphasized: Women intellectuals are a powerful force in the Vietnamese intellectual community, truly playing an important role, position and contributing to the development of the country. After more than 10 years of establishment, the VAIE (a member association of the Vietnam Women's Union) has truly become a common home for Vietnamese female intellectuals. The Association has gathered more than 5,000 members from 8 member associations in 8 provinces/cities; 33 affiliated chapters at central agencies, universities, research institutes and 2 chapters in Binh Dinh and Quang Ninh. Including 23 professors, over 200 associate professors, over 700 PhDs and nearly 200 masters.

At the Conference, female scientists had a scientific discussion with 17 reports in 3 fields: Social sciences and humanities with social life; Environment and Agriculture with sustainable development; Medicine, nutrition and community health care.
In the plenary session, 4 typical scientific reports with high scientific content were presented, including: "Building a team of female intellectuals in the spirit of Resolution 27 of the 10th Central Executive Committee: Current situation and issues raised" by Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals, Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lang, Association of Women Intellectuals in the Mekong Delta with the topic: "Establishing salt gene linkage on rice plants in the context of climate change"; Dr. Pham Thi My - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals with the topic "The role of Social Sciences and Humanities with the environment"; Associate Professor, Dr. Truong Tuyet Mai with the topic "Nutrition care status and its solution for Vietnamese elderly".
Most of the members of the Vietnam Association of Science and Technology have been undertaking many key tasks in science and technology at universities, research institutes and management tasks at all levels. Many members have received the Kovalevskaia Prize, the Vietnamese Women's Prize and other national and international Science and Technology Awards and many other noble honors.
Prof. Dr. Le Thi Hop said that one of the six core tasks of the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals is to enhance the role of female intellectuals in scientific research and application of science and technology, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country. Since its establishment, the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals has played a good role in connecting and encouraging female intellectuals to actively participate in research and application of science in socio-economic development.
"The 3rd National Conference of Women Scientists - 2023, organized with the theme: "Application of science and technology to life, society and community health care" aims to recognize and promote the scientific research results of female intellectuals and further strengthen the connection, coordination, and mutual assistance among female intellectuals in scientific and technological activities, deploying applications and commercializing research results; further enhancing the role of female intellectuals in the new stage of development and international integration" - Prof. Dr. Le Thi Hop said.
After nearly 2 months of implementation, 60 scientific reports on 3 topics were submitted to the Conference. Of which, 17 reports were on the topic (1) The role of social sciences and humanities in life - society, over 26 reports were on the topic (2) Environment, agriculture with sustainable development and 17 reports were on the topic (3) Medicine, nutrition in community health care. In addition, 9 posters and 18 scientific products created from the research results of female scientists were presented at the exhibition area on the sidelines of the Conference.
Science and technology products are exhibited at Phenika University.
Speaking at the Conference, Prof. Dr. Le Mai Huong - Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Intellectual Women said: Yesterday afternoon, November 10, the Vietnam Association of Intellectual Women organized 03 thematic seminars mentioned above. Each seminar attracted hundreds of delegates; 16 out of 60 scientific reports were presented at 3 thematic seminars.
Prof. Dr. Le Mai Huong commented: The scientific reports of female scientists were carefully prepared, serious, dedicated, with rich and diverse content and from many research fields of social life, reflecting and proposing effective solutions to apply science to social life, especially community health care.
At the Conference, the Vietnam Association of Intellectuals announced the Decision to Award Certificates of Merit to 62 young female intellectuals, under 40 years old, with outstanding achievements in scientific research in 2022-2023, including 4 Associate Professors, 56 Doctors and 2 Masters.
In 2019, the Vietnam Association of Women Intellectuals organized the first conference of women scientists in the Southern and Northern regions, with the theme: "Women Intellectuals with Science and Technology for Sustainable Development".
- In 2020, the 2nd Women Scientists Conference was held with the theme "Women intellectuals with scientific research serving socio-economic development".
- 2023: The 3rd National Conference of Women Scientists, held with the theme: "Application of Science and Technology to Life, Society and Community Health Care" to recognize and promote the scientific research results of female intellectuals and further strengthen the connection, coordination and mutual assistance among female intellectuals in Science and Technology activities, deploying applications and commercializing research results; further enhancing the role of female intellectuals in the new stage of development and international integration.
