On the afternoon of August 21, at the National Assembly House, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is on an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President Vo Van Thuong.
Warmly welcoming President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his official visit to Vietnam, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said the visit is an important step forward, strongly promoting the traditional relationship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
In particular, the President of Kazakhstan is a leader with extensive experience in parliamentary activities. Cooperation between the Parliament of Kazakhstan and the National Assembly of Vietnam will be a valuable foundation for stronger development of cooperation between the National Assemblies/Parliaments of the two countries.
The President of Kazakhstan expressed his pleasure at his official visit to Vietnam. Sharing the results of his talks with President Vo Van Thuong and meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, the President expressed his hope that the two sides would join hands to promote the achieved cooperation results, and further strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and investment.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that Vietnam is a key partner of Kazakhstan in Southeast Asia. Expressing his delight at the results Vietnam has achieved in economic development, bringing benefits to the people, the President congratulated Vietnam on successfully implementing the renovation process, bringing prosperity to the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Emphasizing that in the current volatile international context, the traditional solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Kazakhstan is becoming more and more important, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his gratitude for Vietnam's support when attending the 6th Summit on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Kazakhstan.
Sharing about the economic reform goals in the coming time, the President hopes to continue to have connections and share experiences between the two countries in general and the two countries' legislative bodies in particular. Assessing the increasingly important role of the Vietnamese National Assembly in the socio-economic life in Vietnam, and having held the position of Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan himself, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev hopes that the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Parliament of Kazakhstan will strengthen cooperation and exchange operational experiences, bringing benefits to both countries.
On this occasion, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev respectfully invited National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to soon pay an official visit to Kazakhstan.

Thanking the President of Kazakhstan for his kind words about the country and people of Vietnam as well as the achievements Vietnam has made, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that Vietnam highly appreciates the position and role of Kazakhstan in the Central Asian region and wishes to promote multifaceted cooperation with Kazakhstan.
The Vietnamese National Assembly supports and welcomes the results of the talks and meetings between the President of Kazakhstan, President Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; expressing confidence that the documents signed by the two sides are a favorable legal framework, promoting the traditional friendly cooperation between the two countries in the coming time in a more comprehensive, effective and substantive manner.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue affirmed that the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Chairman of the National Assembly personally always support the two countries to strengthen comprehensive cooperation in economics, trade, investment, transportation, tourism, education, training, culture as well as the very potential fields of defense and security...
Congratulating Kazakhstan on successfully organizing the Senate and House of Representatives elections in 2023, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue was pleased to announce that parliamentary cooperation between the two countries has achieved many good results in recent times; he hoped that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who once worked as Chairman of the Senate, would support the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Kazakh Parliament to inherit and promote the existing good cooperative relationship, towards signing a bilateral cooperation agreement between the two legislative bodies of the two countries.
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue invited the Chairman of the Senate and the Chairman of the House of Representatives of Kazakhstan to officially visit Vietnam and send a delegation of parliamentarians to attend the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians to be held in Hanoi next September.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue thanked and hoped that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the National Assembly, and the Government of Kazakhstan would continue to pay attention and create conditions for the Vietnamese community to live, study, work stably, and integrate in Kazakhstan.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his gratitude and agreement with the opinions of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue; at the same time, he said that the Kazakhstan Parliament will send a delegation to attend the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians hosted by the Vietnamese National Assembly.
