On the morning of September 2, Hai Hau district held the opening ceremony of the 2024 Traditional Culture - Sports Festival.
Cultural and sports activities on September 2nd in Hai Hau district have been held since 1982 and have been held continuously until now. The performances are imbued with the unique cultural identity of the nation and the "Bright Sea" such as: the performance of the Elderly Health Club of the district, the performance of the Stilt-walking team from the coastal localities of Hai Ly and Hai Trieu; the drum performance of Yen Dinh town and Hai Phuong commune; the lion, lion and dragon dances of teams from Hai Dong, Hai Cuong and Hai Hung communes,... the brass band performance of the Hai Bac women's team and Hai Xuan commune; the drum performance of women from Hai Xuan and Hai Tay communes, the dragon dance of Hai Bac and Hai Trung, the gymnastic performance of more than 400 students from Hai Phuong Secondary School... created a majestic and bustling atmosphere with special appeal and attraction to the audience.

Every year, Hai Hau district organizes a festival, also attracting many people from neighboring provinces to witness and feel the bustling atmosphere of Independence Day of the people here.
Mr. Tran Van Hai, a resident of Hai Hau district, said: "Every year we look forward to this day. Since the beginning of August, people in my hometown have cleaned up the village streets and hung flags and flowers to celebrate Independence Day. Children living far away prepare for the holiday to return home together."

Mr. Tran Van Tuan, Director of the Information, Culture and Sports Center of Hai Hau district said: "The district's cultural and sports activities to celebrate National Day September 2 have been taking place vigorously since the beginning of August. The three main days from August 31 to September 2 are the main festivals. For Hai Hau people, September 2 is not only a holiday but also a New Year, which has become a meeting place for people in the countryside as well as those who live far away and want to return."
