Nam Dang commune has 40 households without permanent housing. To implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the commune has established teams to visit each household to assess the situation, take detailed pictures of the current state of the house to report to the Commune Steering Committee, analyze, evaluate, select households to receive support, specific support levels, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
Mr. Dang Ong Nhat, Nam Dinh village, Nam Dang commune, Van Ban district shared: “In the past, the house was wooden and dilapidated. There was a program to remove temporary, dilapidated houses, with support from the State, and today my family has stabilized.”
Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Dang Commune, Van Ban District, said: "After receiving the reports from the teams, we went to re-examine and make a record based on the results of the review teams. Up to now, in the commune, there are 19 households eligible to have their temporary and dilapidated houses removed."
Assess the reality and select supported households to ensure compliance with State regulations.
In Vo Lao Commune, in the period of 2024 - 2025, there are 23 households eligible for support to remove temporary and dilapidated houses. The land use right certificates of poor and near-poor households are selected as the first basis to determine beneficiaries of the program. To date, 9 households have completed handover of houses; 14 households are under construction. Members of the Steering Committee for removing temporary and dilapidated houses in the commune are also regularly present at the construction sites to monitor and urge the construction progress.
Mr. Trieu Van Nhat, Xuan Tien village, Vo Lao commune, Van Ban district shared: "Thank you to the Party and State for supporting 60 million VND for the family to demolish the temporary house."
Mr. Hoang Van Toan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vo Lao Commune, Van Ban District, said: “Households in Vo Lao Commune have started construction. Through inspection and supervision by the Front and the commune’s cadastral officers, families that have completed 70-80% will be considered and supported.”
Members of the Commune Steering Committee regularly monitor and urge construction progress.
The objective and transparent selection of beneficiaries has created consensus and support from the people for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Van Ban. According to the project approved by the Provincial People's Committee, Van Ban district has 816 temporary houses that need to be eliminated. Up to now, communes and towns have completed 545 houses, and by the end of March, construction will begin on the remaining 271 houses. We strive to complete the task of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before June 2025, helping families stabilize their lives and feel secure in their work and production.
