Accordingly, Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, noted that the 2023-2024 school year has begun, students have returned to school to participate in learning and activities. Therefore, ensuring students have a safe learning environment must always be a top priority.

Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committees of districts and Thu Duc City to thoroughly instruct educational institutions to regularly check the electricity, water and tree systems in schools, especially during the rainy season.

At the same time, the Food Safety Management Board is assigned to strengthen food safety inspections in schools with boarding and semi-boarding kitchens. For schools without boarding and semi-boarding kitchens that have signed contracts with facilities, they must have a certificate of food safety eligibility to provide food for students.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also assigned the Department of Construction to continue implementing the direction of the City People's Committee, requiring agencies, units, and schools to regularly inspect, care for, and promptly take appropriate measures to ensure long-term safety for the green tree system within the management area.
