The list of 24 selected players includes 3 goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 6 midfielders and 5 forwards. Before entering the final round of the 2023 AFC U17 Championship, coach Hoang Anh Tuan will narrow the list to 23 players as required by the organizing committee.

Looking at the list, it can be seen that these are the best players in the current U17 generation of Vietnamese football.

Through the training sessions, all have demonstrated their abilities, helping coach Hoang Anh Tuan make the best choice for the tournament.

Preparing for the final round, the Vietnam U17 team had 2 quality training trips abroad.

In Qatar, the team drew 0-0 with Laos U17 in a friendly match and beat the host U17 Qatar 2-0. In Japan, the team beat Kaisenkan High School and Honda FC U18 with a score of 3-1 and tied Tokoha University 3-3.

Returning to Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam U17 team also had a practice match with Yemen U17 at Thong Nhat Stadium and lost 0-2.

Coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team will fly to Thailand at 8:45 a.m. tomorrow (June 14) to attend the 2023 AFC U17 Championship.

According to the draw results, U17 Vietnam is in group D and will meet U17 India (June 17), U17 Japan (June 20) and U17 Uzbekistan (June 23) at Thammasat Stadium.

The teams will compete in a round robin format. The top two teams in each group will advance to the quarter-finals. The four semi-finalists will qualify for the 2023 U17 World Cup in November.
