(Baoquangngai.vn) - Among the 136 works participating in the 2nd Pham Van Dong Literature and Arts Award - 2024, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 38 works, groups of works, and projects in 9 categories.
On the morning of March 1, at the Prime Minister Pham Van Dong Memorial Site in Duc Tan Commune (Mo Duc), the Provincial People's Committee held the Announcement Ceremony of the 2nd Pham Van Dong Literature and Arts Award - 2024.
Attending the ceremony were Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Lu Ngoc Binh; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien; representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, agencies and units; authors whose works, clusters of works and projects won the award this time.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan emphasized that the Pham Van Dong Literature and Arts Award is an activity to honor authors with achievements in creative activities, cultural, literary and artistic research of Quang Ngai province; to encourage and motivate writers, artists and researchers to promote dynamism and creativity to create works with diverse topics, rich in genres and methods of expression, profound in ideology and rich in artistic value. Thereby, contributing to the construction and development of Quang Ngai culture and people, meeting the requirements of innovation, integration and sustainable development in the current period.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan also requested local departments, branches, sectors, and associations to continue raising awareness of the role of culture, literature, and art; the role of writers and artists in developing literature, art, and building the culture and people of Quang Ngai, as well as the process of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation. Pay attention to building appropriate policies and mechanisms for writers and artists; actively support and create favorable conditions for writers and artists to creatively work, promote, and introduce authors and works. He also expressed his hope and belief that writers and artists will continue to have many new literary and artistic works in the coming time that are creative, innovative, and of high value.

The award-winning works, groups of works, and projects reflect the life, country, and people of Vietnam in general and the people of Quang Ngai ethnic groups in particular; demonstrate the glorious tradition in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the fields of politics, economics, culture, society, national defense, and security; reflect the cause of innovation and the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country, towards the goal of a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization, and sustainable development.

Also at the award ceremony, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education awarded 20 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to poor and studious students of Pham Van Dong High School (Mo Duc). Funding came from the Provincial Fund for Promotion of Education.
