Industrial clusters in Quang Binh province have attracted 130 investment projects, with an average occupancy rate of 73% and a total registered capital of more than 550 billion VND.
According to the Industrial Cluster Development Plan (IC) integrated into the Quang Binh Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, Quang Binh province has 38 ICs with a total area of about 57 hectares.
Currently, the province has developed 10 industrial parks, of which 6 have been established with a total area of 75.4 hectares and 4 have been planned in detail for both leasing and continued infrastructure investment but have not been established according to regulations with a total area of 25.5 hectares. The construction and development of industrial parks in Quang Binh province has initially formed an industrial production network, helping industrial production develop in a concentrated direction, limiting the situation of unplanned dispersion and environmental pollution. With 10 existing industrial parks, 130 investment projects have been attracted, the average occupancy rate reached 73%, with a total registered capital of more than 550 billion VND, revenue reaching nearly 480 billion VND, contributing nearly 20 billion VND to the budget and creating jobs for over 2,000 workers.

Recently, the Government issued Decree No. 32/ND-CP on management and development of industrial clusters, effective from May 1, 2024; this is an important legal basis for localities to strengthen management, improve the efficiency of investment in technical infrastructure construction and development of industrial clusters.
In order to strengthen the effectiveness of state management in the field of industrial clusters, recently the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh province has coordinated with the local Department of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize a conference to disseminate mechanisms and policies on management and development of industrial clusters.
The conference attracted more than 50 participants representing relevant departments, branches and units; localities with industrial park planning and production facilities in industrial parks in the province.
At the conference, trainees were informed of new regulations on the management and development of industrial parks, including: Decree No. 32/2024/ND-CP, dated March 15, 2024 of the Government on the management and development of industrial parks; Circular No. 14/2024/TT-BCT, dated August 15, 2024 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade regulating the periodic reporting regime on industrial parks, the national industrial park database and some sample documents on the management and development of industrial parks...
This is the legal basis for localities to continue to strengthen management, effective investment in building technical infrastructure, developing industrial clusters in the area; improve the business investment environment; promote strong economic and labor restructuring towards industrialization in rural areas associated with implementing the Party and State's policy of "leaving agriculture but not leaving home" and building new rural areas.
Attending the conference, the trainees also exchanged and discussed the current problems and difficulties in implementing the management and development of industrial parks in their localities and facilities.
