BTO-On the morning of January 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Tuy Phong district to organize a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition as a provincial-level relic "Historical - cultural relic of General Secretary Le Duan Memorial House, Binh Thanh commune".
Attending the event were Mr. Vo Thanh Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, mass organizations and a large number of people from Binh Thanh commune.
At the ceremony, Mr. Vo Thanh Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism congratulated Tuy Phong district in general and Binh Thanh commune in particular for having one more provincial-level historical-cultural relic, bringing the total number of local relics to 6 (including 2 national-level relics and 4 provincial-level relics) and also being one of the localities with the most relics in the district.
To preserve and effectively promote the value of the relic in the coming time, the Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that the People's Committee of Tuy Phong district should establish a relic management board and promulgate regulations on the operation of the relic management board according to the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage to protect, manage and promote the value of the relic to ensure long-term effectiveness. Strengthen the propaganda work on the value and significance of the relic on mass media. Recommend that competent authorities invest budget and mobilize social resources to renovate and upgrade the Memorial House of General Secretary Le Duan to match the great merits and contributions of the late General Secretary to the Party and the State. At the same time, expand the area of the Memorial House to effectively promote the historical and cultural value of the relic, serving the needs of sightseeing, research, visiting and educating revolutionary traditions for today's and tomorrow's young generations.
It is known that the General Secretary Le Duan Memorial House located in Binh Thanh Commune, Tuy Phong District was started to be built in October 2009, inaugurated and put into use, and has been promoting its value since June 2011. This is the place that marks the time when he was sent by Uncle Ho and the Party Central Committee to the South to directly lead the resistance war against the French in the South. On the way, in June 1947, he and his delegation stayed in Binh Thanh Commune for a while. During his stay here, he directly trained local cadres in political theory and oriented the solution of many problems in the resistance war leadership of Tuy Phong District and Binh Thuan Province at that time.
The project shows the respect and gratitude of the Party Committee and people of Tuy Phong district to the respected leader who made great contributions to the cause of national liberation and reunification.
