When entering the battle, Nguyen Van Loc rode alone to break through the citadel gate, rushed straight into the garrison, and captured the enemy general alive.
When Quang Trung ascended the throne and led his troops north to destroy the Qing army, Nguyen Van Loc was appointed Grand Admiral to command the left wing of the army, blocking the enemy's retreat.
