In the current trend of global integration, Quang Ngai has been forming a new mindset and vision to take advantage of investment attraction opportunities, effectively exploiting the potentials and strengths of the locality to rise up with the whole country, building a rich and strong Vietnam.
According to the Quang Ngai Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, recently approved by the Prime Minister, Quang Ngai has identified 4 strategic economic corridors for development. These economic corridors are formed based on the potential for regional and intra-provincial connectivity and on the spatial subdivisions of socio-economic development of Quang Ngai province.
The first is the North-South economic corridor (Dung Quat - Quang Ngai City - Sa Huynh). This can be called the key economic corridor of Quang Ngai in the current period and vision to 2050. Because this is a part of the North-South economic corridor of the country. This economic corridor has the function of leading, coordinating and being the fulcrum for the development of other economic corridors.
This economic corridor has the function of connecting with economic, urban and administrative service centers, connecting the plain and coastal districts in the province; at the same time, it is associated with the construction of spatial arrangement plans for the development of urban areas, industrial parks, logistics centers, etc. to promote in-depth socio-economic development.
Quang Ngai is focusing on calling for investment to develop industry.
The second is the northern East-West economic corridor (Ly Son - Dung Quat - Tra Bong - Tra My along National Highway 24C, expanding the connection between Tra My district and Nam Giang border gate, Quang Nam province). This economic corridor is an opening for Quang Ngai's economy to integrate with countries in the region and the world. This is an advantage that not every province or city has, because this economic corridor connects Dung Quat Economic Zone with the western districts of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and southern Laos, northeastern Cambodia, and Thailand. In the near future, this place will become a bustling economic corridor for import and export transportation, international trade of goods, promoting the development of cultural, ecological and agricultural and forestry tourism in Quang Ngai.
Third is the South East-West corridor (Sa Huynh - Ba To - Bo Y). From Pho An to Thach Tru - Pho Phong (Duc Pho town) - Ba To - Kon Tum - Bo Y - Ngoc Hoi. This place has many potentials and advantages to develop the fisheries, agriculture - forestry, trade - tourism services, focusing on Duc Pho town. This is also the gateway corridor for the marine economy, connecting with the Central Highlands provinces.
And finally, the economic corridor connecting the region along provincial roads 622, 626 and 24B connects from Tra Bong to Ba To (Ba Vi - Son Ha - Son Tay - Tra Bong). This is a green economic corridor, which is extremely important to other economic corridors. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on investing in exploiting the advantages of this area for mutual development. When connecting with the two East-West economic corridors of the province, a synchronous infrastructure network will be formed, opening up many opportunities to attract investment.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh said that the goal of shaping economic corridors is to connect areas inside and outside the province. On that basis, Quang Ngai will strive to become one of the important nuclei in the economic development of the region.
Up to now, Quang Ngai has formed 6 industrial parks. Of which, 4 are located in Dung Quat Economic Zone: Western Industrial Park, Eastern Dung Quat Industrial Park, Binh Hoa - Binh Phuoc Industrial Park, Tinh Phong Industrial Park and 2 industrial parks located outside Dung Quat Economic Zone: Pho Phong Industrial Park, Quang Phu Industrial Park. According to the Provincial Planning, by 2030, Quang Ngai will have 10 industrial parks, so it will continue to attract investment in 4 more industrial parks, including: Dung Quat II Industrial Park, Binh Thanh Industrial Park (Dung Quat Economic Zone), Binh Long Industrial Park and An Phu Industrial Park.

With Quang Phu Industrial Park (Quang Ngai City), the development orientation in the coming time is to continue to maintain and improve economic efficiency, gradually relocate and not attract investment for enterprises with potential risks of causing environmental pollution. At the same time, develop and expand 5 existing industrial parks (4 industrial parks located in Dung Quat Economic Zone and 1 industrial park outside Dung Quat Economic Zone) in locations with favorable connections for road, waterway, seaport traffic and have a complete technical infrastructure and social infrastructure system. It is known that the existing industrial parks of Quang Ngai not only create jobs and increase income for workers, but also truly become the locomotive to strongly develop Quang Ngai's economy in the Central Key Economic Zone.
Along with promoting investment attraction to develop industrial parks and economic zones, Quang Ngai also attaches importance to investing in the construction of industrial clusters (ICs), with the goal of ensuring the rationality of territorial space, exploiting the potential and advantages of the province and ensuring sustainable development. This is a correct policy, aiming to attract supporting industries to serve the development of industrial parks and economic zones in the province. In the coming time, Quang Ngai will relocate 3 ICs, including 2 clusters in Quang Ngai city (Tinh An Tay IC, Truong Quang Trong ward IC) and 1 cluster in Ba To district (Ba To town IC), because they are no longer suitable for the urbanization process of the province, causing the risk of environmental pollution. At the same time, continue to maintain and expand 17 existing ICs and establish 19 new ICs in potential locations, ensuring development requirements.

The urban and tourism service sectors of Quang Ngai are currently not developing commensurate with the province's potential and advantages. This is also a big challenge for Quang Ngai in its current journey of opening up, integration and development. Therefore, the province has proposed and received approval from the Government to build My Khe Tourist Area and Ly Son Island Tourist Area into national tourist areas. However, to do that, the requirement for Quang Ngai is to mobilize all capital sources to focus on investing in infrastructure for these two tourist areas.
Building a roadmap for developing green industry and high-tech industry in concentrated industrial parks and clusters. Replicating the model of high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture, and circular agriculture. Developing and perfecting infrastructure to serve the development of green cities and smart cities. Along with that, Quang Ngai is also promoting investment to develop and form provincial-level tourist areas, including: Sa Huynh beach tourist area, Ngang mountain lake eco-tourism resort area, Thach Bich eco-tourism area, Binh Chau tourist area, Ca Dam mountain eco-tourism area, Nuoc Trong lake eco-tourism resort area, Ka Tinh eco-tourism area, Bui Hui grassland eco-tourism area, Thach Bich - Nui Chua urban resort and eco-tourism complex...
At the same time, Quang Ngai also takes advantage of the area along the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal route (from Tu Nghia district to Duc Pho town) to form coastal tourism - service - urban and agricultural and forestry areas. This area is identified and considered tourism development as the main function, as a driving force to promote and develop new urban areas along the coastal route, contributing to creating development momentum for the southern coastal urban area of the province.

To retain tourists and diversify tourism products, in the coming time, Quang Ngai will promote investment attraction, build a number of golf courses combined with resorts, tourism, sports, golf course business, entertainment, urban service areas in potential and advantageous locations. This is also the development aspiration of Quang Ngai tourism industry.
Development goal by 2030, Quang Ngai strives to be a fairly developed province in the country, with an average income per capita at least equal to the national average. Enhance autonomy and adaptability to economic fluctuations. Focus on developing digital economy, green economy and circular economy. Turn challenges into opportunities; sustainable development; concentrated development; focus on infrastructure development; regional connectivity factors.
The investment in the Hoang Sa - Doc Soi Road project, with a total investment of 3,500 billion VND, is a bold decision of Quang Ngai. The project has a total route length of 26.88 km, with the starting point of the route intersecting with Tri Binh - Dung Quat Road, in Binh Son District and the end point connecting with Hoang Sa Road, at the intersection of Tra Khuc River Dam Bridge, Quang Ngai City.

Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien said that the Hoang Sa - Doc Soi Road project was unanimously selected by the Provincial Party Standing Committee as a key project of the province to be included in the list of projects to welcome the 21st Congress of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
This project, once completed, will contribute to completing the province's road traffic network according to the approved plan. At the same time, it will form an important vertical traffic axis of the province, connecting quickly and conveniently from Chu Lai Airport (Quang Nam) to Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai City and the southern localities of the province.
At the same time, it creates a key economic development corridor, a driving force to attract investment and effectively exploit the economic development potential for the eastern areas of the districts: Binh Son, Son Tinh and Quang Ngai City. In particular, it reduces traffic volume on National Highway 1, especially during rush hour, which is currently overloaded, to meet the travel needs of the people.
