In 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University) plans to maintain 5 regular university admission methods for 34 standard training programs as in 2023 and increase 100 enrollment targets compared to last year.
Method 1 is direct admission, priority given to direct admission, 1-5% of total quota.
In which, method 1.1 considers direct admission, giving priority to admission according to the regulations on regular university admission. Method 1.2 gives priority to direct admission to the best candidates of high schools in 2024 according to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Method 2 is priority admission according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University, 15-20% of total quota.
Method 3 is admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, 40-55% of the total target.
Method 4 is admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2024, 35-50% of the total target.
Method 5 is to prioritize admission of students who are members of provincial or municipal teams participating in national excellent student competitions or who won first, second, or third prizes in provincial/municipal excellent student competitions; candidates who graduated from foreign high school programs; candidates with achievements in social, artistic, and sports activities, 1-5% of the total quota.
In particular, method 5.1 prioritizes admission for students who are members of provincial or municipal teams participating in national excellent student competitions or who have won first, second, or third prizes in provincial/municipal excellent student competitions. Method 5.2 considers admission based on high school academic results combined with IELTS, TOEFL iBT certificates or Vietnamese language proficiency for candidates who have graduated from foreign high school programs. Method 5.3 considers admission based on high school academic results for candidates with excellent achievements, especially outstanding in social, cultural, and sports activities.
This year, the high-quality program will be changed to an international standard program including the following majors: English, Chinese, German, international relations, Japanese studies, and tourism and travel services management. The high-quality journalism program will be changed to an English-enhanced program.
