Hanoi maintains two methods of enrolling preschool, grade 1, and grade 6 students: online and in person. The new point of this year's enrollment season is that all schools must implement the online enrollment registration method to avoid queuing and jostling to submit applications.

Archimedes Education System announced that in the 2025-2026 school year, the two campuses of Dong Anh and Cau Giay have a total of 700 targets for grade 6. Assign enrollment quota when meeting eligibility requirements
The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Hanoi will take place from June 7-8. This is the first 10th grade entrance exam under the 2018 General Education Program. Candidates will take 3 subjects including Math, Literature and Foreign Language.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Hanoi is expected to have about 127,000 students graduating from junior high school. Implementing the work of classifying students after graduating from junior high school, the number of students admitted to grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year at educational institutions in the city is expected to be as follows: Admission to public high schools is about 79,000 students, admission to private high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education, vocational education institutions (vocational education centers - continuing education in association with secondary schools and colleges teaching cultural programs of continuing education at high school level) is about 48,000 students.
In preparation for the 10th grade enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year, immediately after the end of the Lunar New Year holiday, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requested schools to urgently review the actual conditions of facilities, teaching equipment, and teaching staff; at the same time, notify specific requirements for each type of school to be assigned enrollment quotas.
From the case of illegal enrollment in 2024, the Department of Education and Training has paid special attention to monitoring the enrollment conditions of private schools. If any school does not meet the prescribed standards, it will definitely not be assigned enrollment quotas. If there is intentional violation, the school principal will be strictly disciplined.
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training requires private schools to comply with regulations on publicity, including 3 mandatory elements that must be made public: Conditions for ensuring quality; educational activity plans and results; financial revenue and expenditure. With the admission method of selection, self-financed public high schools and private high schools need to develop an admission plan for the 2025-2026 school year based on: Admission scores of candidates participating in the entrance exam for grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year; training and learning results of students at the secondary level, if a grade is repeated, the results of the re-study year of that grade will be used and other regulations of the admission regulations.
Students register online on the school's admissions portal from April 21. Admitted students confirm their admission and submit their admission application no later than July 22.
