The signing ceremony of the cooperation memorandum between Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and Tuoi Tre newspaper took place on the afternoon of August 29.

Many areas of cooperation

According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides will jointly implement the "Tiep suc den truong" scholarship program organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper. Ho Chi Minh City University of Law will reduce tuition fees or grant appropriate scholarships to new students admitted to the school based on the application documents of new students that have been verified and introduced by Tuoi Tre newspaper.

The two sides also agreed to jointly organize a number of other community service activities such as conferences, seminars, talks on propaganda and legal dissemination... Focusing on issues of contributing ideas to perfect legal regulations related to youth and making policy recommendations related to youth.

There are also cooperation activities related to the professional expertise of the two units.

Tuoi Tre Newspaper coordinates to implement communication activities on admission consulting for all types of training of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law through direct consulting activities, on publications, and platforms managed by the newspaper.

In addition, Tuoi Tre newspaper introduces suitable lecturers and reporters to teach subjects and share about careers with students.

On the other hand, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law will also have many support activities related to the newspaper's professional work.

The school introduces a list of scientists, lecturers with prestige and deep expertise in legal fields, and scientists of the school participating as speakers in seminars, talk shows, seminars, topics, events and article content organized and produced by Tuoi Tre newspaper.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and Tuoi Tre Newspaper cooperate to organize training courses, update and foster legal knowledge according to short-term programs for officers, employees and workers of Tuoi Tre Newspaper.

The two sides will coordinate to design and develop training topics on communication capacity and argumentative writing skills in the practical skills program for full-time students; coordinate to develop and organize training courses on communication and public relations for officers and employees of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Le Truong Son - Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law - commented that the activities of the two units have similarities in political tasks, and the target audience is young people and students.

According to Mr. Son, the two units have supported each other in the past, such as the career counseling program organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper, student movements, community service...

"I respect and appreciate this cooperation because it contributes to improving the quality of training, professional activities of both parties and the development of the two units. Journalism and legal knowledge are very necessary for journalists and lawyers. There are many journalists who are law graduates. Currently, many journalists are studying law to improve their qualifications and expertise," Mr. Son shared.

Sharing more about this cooperation, Mr. Chu expressed: "People say that if you want to go far, go together. I believe that the two sides can cooperate in depth to achieve further goals. This is the beginning of more extensive and effective cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and Tuoi Tre Newspaper in the future towards serving the community as well as improving the operational efficiency of both sides."

On the occasion of the signing ceremony between the two units, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law awarded the Tuoi Tre Newspaper's 2024 "Tiep suc den truong" Scholarship Fund 10 scholarships, worth 150 million VND.

By awarding this scholarship, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law hopes to continue to light up the journey of overcoming difficulties to go to school for many new students with difficult circumstances across the country in general and new students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law in particular.
