In the context of the North suffering much damage due to storm No. 3, this year's Mid-Autumn Festival programs in many provinces and cities took place more simply but meaningfully. The vibrant activities as in previous years gave way to programs to share and support children in difficult circumstances, especially children in flood-hit areas.

In Hanoi , on September 16, students of Van Yen Primary School (Ha Dong District) had a meaningful lesson with the theme "Mid-Autumn Festival Spreads Love". Instead of organizing fun activities like usual, the school called on teachers, parents and students to donate books, school supplies and cash to support students in flood-hit areas. Ms. Phuong Thi Thin, Principal of the school, said: "The spirit of mutual love "Hanoi for the whole country" has spread strongly, when everyone joined hands to help people in the northern mountainous region who are suffering a lot of pain and loss due to natural disasters".

On the same day, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Education Trade Union to present 150 Mid-Autumn gifts to students in especially difficult circumstances at specialized schools in the city, bringing small but warm joy to the less fortunate children.
In Vinh Phuc , the Mid-Autumn Festival program “Sharing Love” was organized by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the province in coordination with the Provincial Youth Union and the People's Committee of Binh Xuyen district on the evening of September 16, with the participation of more than 1,000 children. More than 7,000 gifts were given to disadvantaged children across the province. In particular, the program also carried a meaningful message when focusing on supporting children in areas affected by storms and floods, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and sharing.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation and Vinh Phuc Provincial Youth Union presented 20 gifts and scholarships to children of workers and laborers in difficult circumstances working in industrial parks in the province.
In Nghe An , the Mid-Autumn Festival program organized by the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council for children of officials and civil servants focused on raising awareness among children about the consequences of storms and floods. The children watched films about the damage in the northern provinces and wrote cards sharing love, along with donations to send Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to people in the storm and flood areas.

In Quang Tri , many schools and organizations have mobilized students to donate to support their peers in disaster-hit areas. Trung Vuong School launched the program “Sharing Love on Mid-Autumn Festival - Towards the Northern People”, calling on students and teachers to contribute nearly 98 million VND. This program helps educate students about sharing and solidarity.

At the Provincial School for Disabled Children, many volunteer groups and philanthropists came to give gifts and visit disabled students during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
This year, officers and soldiers of Con Co Border Post coordinated with Con Co District Youth Union and volunteer groups to organize an early Mid-Autumn Festival program for students and children on the island. From the beginning of September 2024, 17 children on the island attended a buffet party and the meaningful and joyful "Moonlight Night on a Distant Island" program.
The program presented 24 gifts to households including: portraits of President Ho Chi Minh, national flags and necessities; toys, teddy bears, clothes to 30 students on the island and children of tourists staying on the island with a total value of more than 30 million VND.
On September 14, philanthropists also came to the island to give Mid-Autumn gifts to students of Hoa Phong Ba Kindergarten and Primary School, bringing the children on the remote island a full and fulfilling full moon season.
In Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) , a series of meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival programs were also held, such as “Moon for Children”, “Mid-Autumn Dream” for disadvantaged children, children with disabilities, and children of workers. More than 1,800 gifts were given to the children, with the hope of bringing them a complete Mid-Autumn Festival. In particular, the Y Tam volunteer group brought the “Lighting the Lanterns” program to children in Dak Nong, creating more than 1,000 lanterns from cans, lighting up the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival night.

In Kien Giang , on the evening of September 16, during the "Full Moon Festival" organized by the Chau Thanh District Labor Federation and Ha Tien City, the Kien Giang Provincial Labor Federation presented 500 gifts to disadvantaged children. Each gift worth 300,000 VND includes candy, lanterns and cash.
On the same day, in Rach Gia city, Kien Giang Civil Servants' Union (under the Kien Giang Provincial Labor Federation) organized a Mid-Autumn Festival for 200 children of union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers in difficult circumstances.
On Ly Son Island (Quang Ngai) , soldiers and volunteers coordinated to organize the program "Autumn Moon on the Border" for children on the island, bringing a warm atmosphere and practical gifts such as bicycles and school supplies. The children here not only received gifts but also participated in many fun activities, filled with laughter during the festival night.

This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival is a special festival when the whole nation turns to the North to help children affected by natural disasters. Thousands of gifts, scholarships and care have been sent, bringing joy and hope to children in difficult circumstances. This message of kindness has spread strongly, connecting love between regions.
