Currently, the northern provinces are suffering extremely serious natural disaster consequences in terms of people, houses, infrastructure, agriculture, etc. The Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 88/CD-TTg dated September 6, 2024 requesting ministries, branches, and localities to focus on responding to storm No. 3 and floods after the storm; Official Dispatch No. 90/CD-TTg dated September 9, 2024 on urgently providing food, foodstuffs, and necessities to serve the lives of people affected by storm No. 3.
In the context that the whole country is joining hands to support overcoming the damage caused by natural disasters in the northern provinces, the People's Committee of Nghe An province requests agencies, organizations, units and localities to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival to ensure the following requirements:
Organizing Mid-Autumn Festival activities in 2024 must ensure safety, economy, substance, and no ostentation, in accordance with the situation where the whole country is joining hands with the people of the northern provinces to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3.
The Mid-Autumn Festival program is brief, without organizing artistic activities, singing and dancing, lion-dragon dances. The main content is reading the President's letter to children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, giving Mid-Autumn gifts to children in special circumstances, children from poor households, near-poor households, children in ethnic minority areas, remote areas, orphans and children affected by natural disasters, storms and floods.
Provincial and district-level agencies do not send delegations to attend the Mid-Autumn Festival at the grassroots level, except for agencies and organizations that come to give gifts to support children in special circumstances at local facilities.
