According to Xinhua news agency, China successfully launched a new remote sensing satellite on September 10 from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi province, northern China.
A modified version of the Long March-6 rocket carrying the Yaogan-40 satellite was launched at 12:30 (Beijing time).

The satellite has entered its predetermined orbit.
The satellite will be used to detect the electromagnetic environment and conduct related technical tests.
This launch was the 487th mission carried out by the Long March rocket.
