Mr. Phan Van Sang - owner of Ba Lien pink grapefruit garden, Lai Vung district, Dong Thap province - said that the first time he watered Lai Vung pink grapefruit in the off-season, he saw the flower set rate reach about 80%. To prevent rain, it is necessary to invest in more tarpaulin to cover the rain in February and March.
"Growing Lai Vung pink grapefruit in the off-season costs more, but in return, there is more income from tourists visiting. In the favorable season, output depends on traders, prices are not high. In the off-season, output is low, prices are high," said Mr. Sang.

"I find the tangerines still very beautiful and full of life. Going at this time of year, I find the real thing more beautiful than seeing it on screen," said Ms. Hien.
