On the afternoon of March 21, the People's Committee of An Thoi Ward (Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang) said that after more than 3 months of launching, the Bai Dat Do public beach project has been accelerated by the locality with 2 phases.
Accordingly, phase 1 is to clear the sea corridor area to create a public beach landscape with a scale of 3.8 hectares. Of which, the locality has cleared 1.5 hectares; the remaining area is mobilizing people to hand over the land.
Phase 2 is the clearance of state-managed land with a scale of 9.3 hectares, including a sea corridor area belonging to the public beach and the public sea square area. For this part, the locality has implemented the measurement, compiled a list and made a diagram for households using state-managed land.
"We are urgently speeding up the progress of Bai Dat Do public beach. Once the land is cleared, the locality will plant coconut trees to create a landscape, completing it soon to develop tourism, create a recreational space for people and tourists, and contribute to the success of the APEC 2027 Conference," Mr. Tran Quoc Hung - Vice Chairman of An Thoi Ward People's Committee - added.
Previously, Tuoi Tre Online reported that the Bai Dat Do public beach project (An Thoi ward) has a scale of about 16.96 hectares.
An Thoi Ward People's Committee has deployed a 9m wide coastal walking street, running along the length of the beach with trees, landscapes, and a modern lighting system, creating a space for walking and relaxing sightseeing for residents and visitors to the beach.
