Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hanh, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Farmers' Association, said that the Farmers' Association coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the People's Committee of Thu Duc City to organize the first Fair and Exhibition of typical agricultural products and OCOP products in 2024.
The fair will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from May 16 to May 20, 2024 with 180 booths of 95 units and individuals; divided into 3 areas. Area 1 includes typical agricultural products, OCOP products of Ho Chi Minh City and OCOP products of provinces such as orchids, ornamental plants, bonsai, ornamental fish, seedlings of all kinds; agricultural products processed after harvest; typical products of the City and high-tech agricultural products; equipment and materials serving the agricultural sector... Area 2 is the exhibition space for OCOP products in Ho Chi Minh City; and area 3 includes consumer goods, cuisine, handicrafts...

Ho Chi Minh City has 127 booths of 75 participating units and individuals, accounting for 70.5%. The remaining 53 booths of 17 provinces and cities include: Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dac Lac, Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Vinh Long, An Giang, Kien Giang with participating products being OCOP products (3 stars, 4 stars), regional specialties, local specialties.
According to Ms. Hanh, the Fair attracts the participation of farmer members who are direct producers, good and typical farmers in production and business of the city; agricultural cooperatives, agricultural handicraft industry associations, cooperative groups, traditional craft village product production establishments; agricultural enterprises, industry associations of Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of the North, Central, West and the provinces of the Southeast region.
Along with that, the fair will organize specialized seminars such as "Solutions for developing digital economy in agricultural production"; Training on "Sales techniques on social networking platforms" at the Children's House Hall of Thu Duc City... to help farmers connect supply and demand, cooperate and join ventures in production and consumption of products. This event is also an opportunity for units and individuals to exchange experiences in the production process, access information and new technologies in the agricultural sector...
