Welcoming the USABC delegation and US businesses to visit Vietnam on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and the 2nd anniversary of upgrading the relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a longer vision, larger scale and deeper level of engagement, higher quality and efficiency, the Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam always considers the US a leading important partner, of strategic significance, especially in terms of economy, trade and investment.
The Prime Minister said that the Vietnam-US bilateral relationship has made remarkable progress in recent times, but there is still a lot of room for US investment in Vietnam. The two economies complement and support each other, not compete with each other.

USABC leaders and US businesses expressed their joy at the progress of Vietnam - US relations; highly appreciated the achievements and great development potential, investment and business environment of Vietnam, especially appreciated the Government and the Prime Minister personally for always paying attention, creating conditions, supporting, listening, and removing difficulties for businesses, including US businesses, to invest and develop effectively in Vietnam.
Highly appreciating Vietnam's socio-economic development strategy, especially the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation when Resolution 57-NQ/TW was just issued, US businesses said they wanted and were ready to invest and expand investment in Vietnam in the fields of green transformation, digital transformation, and circular economy, including energy, high technology, semiconductors, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, data, aviation, logistics, finance, telecommunications, health care, food processing, consumer goods production, tourism, education, agriculture, etc.

US businesses expect Vietnam to continue reforming administrative procedures; shortening decision-making time; ensuring consistency and stability of legal regulations; having preferential policies to encourage investment in a number of specific projects and products that the US has strengths in and Vietnam has needs for, and giving priority to attracting and developing...
After discussing and answering specific proposals and recommendations from USABC and US businesses with leaders of Vietnamese ministries and branches, concluding the meeting, the Prime Minister respectfully thanked the opinions of USABC leaders and businesses; informed that the specific proposals and recommendations from USABC businesses have been received and answered; Vietnamese ministries and branches will continue to study and respond to businesses immediately; believed that in the coming time, Vietnam - US investment cooperation will have new developments in all fields, especially new driving forces, in line with the development trends and strategies of each country.
The Prime Minister said that Vietnam wishes and is making efforts to promote balanced, harmonious and sustainable development of Vietnam-US economic and trade relations through specific action programs; to contribute to realizing the above goals, while improving the quality and effectiveness of investment cooperation with the US.

The Prime Minister recently had a meeting with US businesses to listen to their opinions; directed ministries and branches to urgently and resolutely resolve the current concerns of the US side, promptly and effectively, and support and accompany US businesses; contributing to concretizing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, in the spirit of "harmonious benefits and shared risks".
Relevant ministries, sectors and agencies of Vietnam are actively reviewing import tariffs on goods from the United States, encouraging increased imports of key US products that Vietnam needs, especially agricultural products, liquefied gas and high-tech products; at the same time, strictly controlling the origin of goods from outside.
Assessing the investment trend of US enterprises in line with Vietnam's development strategy, the Prime Minister hopes that US investors will continue to increase new investments and expand investment in Vietnam, especially in important fields such as energy, high technology, semiconductors, AI, aviation, aerospace, and climate change response...

Along with that, promote the connection of the business communities of the two countries, promote dialogue mechanisms between the Government and the business community, connect businesses periodically; create conditions for Vietnamese businesses to participate more deeply in the global supply chain of US businesses; make Vietnam a production and business base of the US in the Southeast Asia region; in the spirit of "what is said must be done, what is committed must be implemented, what is implemented must have measurable results".
Hoping that US businesses will continue to advise and provide policy advice to the Vietnamese Government to improve institutions and policies, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked US businesses to speak out to the Trump administration to strengthen sustainable economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries; consider promoting the establishment of a new bilateral trade framework that is more suitable to the needs and practical situation; not to use trade defense measures against Vietnam, promptly recognize Vietnam's market economy status and remove Vietnam from the US Department of Commerce's list of high-tech export restrictions.

The Head of Government suggested that the two sides promote cooperation in science and technology, innovation; further increase high-quality investment, promote the transfer of advanced technology and support human resource training for Vietnam; share experiences, recommend policies and support Vietnam in energy development; consider and participate in Vietnam's railway, aviation, waterway, sea and road projects, with appropriate roles, including studying the construction of aircraft maintenance and repair centers at Long Thanh International Airport, Gia Binh Airport, etc.
Along with that, US businesses support and cooperate with Vietnam in building and developing a synchronous and modern digital infrastructure, commercializing the 5G network, researching 6G technology; improving capacity, transferring technology to produce medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and vaccines; prioritizing investment in the agricultural sector, especially high-tech agricultural programs and projects such as the Project on sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission specialized rice in the Mekong Delta, while supporting Vietnamese businesses and people in connecting production facilities with consumer markets, participating deeply in supply chains and retail in the United States and around the world.

Emphasizing that there is still a lot of room for economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the United States, the Prime Minister hopes that after the visit to Vietnam by USABC and US businesses this time, the connection between businesses of the two countries will be strengthened and become more effective, for the benefit of both sides; contributing to fostering the Vietnam - US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to become increasingly stronger, more effective and better in the coming time.
