Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee announced the list of projects calling for investment in 28 projects in the city's green development program with a total capital of nearly 160,000 billion VND at the "Conference calling for investment for green growth development in Ho Chi Minh City".
In the list of 28 projects calling for investment, there are 6 projects related to high-tech development. Of these, there are 5 projects in the research and development group in the fields of electronics, semiconductors, and biotechnology with a total investment capital of nearly 4,400 billion VND, equivalent to nearly 190 million USD. The data center project alone has an investment capital of 6,950 billion VND.

The most in this list are projects in the transport sector, including projects with high investment capital such as the investment in the construction of the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway with over 19,800 billion VND; the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13 (from Binh Trieu bridge to Vinh Binh canal bridge, bordering Binh Duong province) with a total investment of 13,850 billion VND; the renovation and upgrading of National Highway 22 (from An Duong intersection to Ring Road 3) with a length of 91km and a width of 60m, with a total estimated capital of 7,200 billion VND; the project to build Thu Thiem 4 bridge, Can Gio bridge, etc.
Among the projects calling for investment this time, there are 5 projects in the environmental sector, mainly focusing on wastewater treatment with a total capital of about 30,000 billion VND, including the Tay Thanh City factory, Tan Hoa - Lo Gom; Tham Luong - Ben Cat (phase 2); Bac Sai Gon 2.
In addition, the city also called for investment in a number of urban beautification projects such as the Cho Ga and Cho Gao projects, rebuilding lot E of Apartment 518 Vo Van Kiet, Apartment 155-157 Bui Vien, Apartment 90-98 Nguyen Hue, Apartment 62 Tran Hung Dao (District 1).
Thu Duc City also plans to build a financial center, commercial services and multi-functional residential area (scale of 12,071 billion VND); a complex of conference and exhibition center, hotel and commercial services (1,659 billion VND); a central square (5,348 billion VND)...
The conference calling for investment in green growth development in Ho Chi Minh City is a collaboration between the City People's Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City - World Bank Joint Working Group to exchange and discuss with development partners, potential investors, experts, organizations, domestic and foreign enterprises on key projects to attract green investment in the city.
At this conference, Ho Chi Minh City introduced its socio-economic development orientation, specific policy mechanisms, and a draft framework for the city's green economic development strategy to call for investment in green growth development projects in the form of combining public and private investment. This is also an opportunity for businesses and experts to propose and advise solutions for Ho Chi Minh City to achieve green growth goals towards sustainable development, promoting economic restructuring associated with innovation in the green growth model.
