Launching the online quiz contest "Pride of Vietnam"

Kinhtedothi – On March 8, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to organize the 2025 National Central Reporters Conference and launch the online quiz contest “Proud of Vietnam”.

Attending and directing the conference were Politburo member - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia. The conference was chaired by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi and Alternate member of the Party Central Committee - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Van Hieu.

Also attending were representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Public Security, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of provinces and cities, Ho Chi Minh City National University and city leaders.

Member of the Politburo - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia spoke at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi said that the city was honored to be chosen as the locality to host the national conference of Central reporters, the training conference on foreign information work in 2025 and the launching ceremony of the online contest "Proud of Vietnam" on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. This is an important activity to raise awareness of central and local ministries, branches and sectors about the position and importance of foreign information work, propaganda and mass mobilization.

The city has made many important changes in implementing strategic breakthrough solutions and creating new growth drivers, especially attracting investment resources to develop socio-economic infrastructure, urban beautification, building a smart city, gradually modernizing, promoting green transformation and digital transformation. The city has strived to achieve many important results in developing education and training, taking care of people's health; paying attention to implementing the contents of building and developing the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and standards of Vietnamese people in the new era, associated with building Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space to improve the quality of life of the people.

Since the beginning of 2024, the city has focused on synchronously implementing activities towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, especially focusing on activities to care for people's lives. The city has issued 11 resolutions on policies to care for the subjects in this celebration. Focusing resources on repairing and building new houses of gratitude for people with meritorious services and their relatives; striving to complete and not let people with meritorious services and their relatives have difficulty in housing, contributing to ensuring social security in the area. At the same time, implementing 61 city-level programs, works and projects in 6 groups of fields: culture - society; economy; urban; science - technology, innovation; administrative reform; national defense - security, foreign affairs.

“The National Conference of Central Reporters in March 2025 and the Launching Ceremony of the “Pride of Vietnam” contest, chosen to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, are very important events, contributing to providing information and widely propagating to all classes of people, the team of reporters and propagandists of the Party about the significance, stature and great historical value of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the resistance war against the invading American imperialists; about the great achievements of the country in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular 50 years after the complete liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. Thereby, encouraging and motivating cadres, party members and all classes of people of the city to compete to achieve achievements to celebrate the great holiday of the country and the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party”, emphasized Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi.

At the conference, the Organizing Committee also invited historical witnesses and experts to discuss the cause of liberating the South, unifying the country; and building and developing Ho Chi Minh City in the new era.

Delegates attending the conference were also informed by Politburo member - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia about the content of dissemination, study and general information about the results in the arrangement of the political system's apparatus, effective, efficient operations and issues facing propaganda and mass mobilization work in the new situation.

 

The online quiz contest “Proud of Vietnam” is organized by the Central Propaganda and Education Commission in coordination with the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The contest aims to promote the historical values ​​of the August Revolution and the country’s achievements after 50 years of liberating the South.
