This morning (October 12), Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Team 6, Department 6, Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with functional forces of Binh Thuan province to handle an accident between a sleeper bus and a truck on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway, injuring at least 1 person.

According to initial information, at around 8:00 a.m. the same day, passenger car with license plate 62F-003.18 carrying 38 people was traveling from Dong Nai to Binh Thuan on the highway.

When reaching Km17+170, through Tan Lap commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, the passenger car collided with truck with license plate 71C-032.64 traveling in the same direction.

After the collision, the sleeper bus continued to rush off the highway until it hit the guardrail and stopped.

At the scene, two vehicles were severely damaged, dozens of passengers on board were frightened; at least one person was injured and taken to the emergency room.

Upon receiving the news, the highway patrol force coordinated with the traffic police to quickly arrive at the scene to clear the traffic and handle the accident; at the same time, regulate vehicles moving through the exit of Highway 55 on the highway to continue their journey.
