Diva Thanh Lam has just released the MV "General and Husband" (Nguyen Vinh Tien) filmed in Hanoi.

The MV is like a short film about Thanh Lam's life, from when she first started singing, through difficulties in work and life, to when she is fulfilled with her current happiness.

Thanh Lam invited guest actors such as Tran Thanh, Tung Duong and especially doctor Bui Tien Hung. This is also the first time her husband has agreed to participate in the diva's project because he "pleases his wife".

In addition to his guest role, Dr. Tien Hung is also a "sponsor" both materially and spiritually for Thanh Lam to make this MV.

For the female singer, the most difficult scenes were the scenes with her husband. The singer said she had to re-shoot them many times because some of the emotional scenes were “awkward” and did not express the script’s requirements.

“I thought convincing him to appear in the MV would be the hardest part, but the challenge was acting with him. Even though it was his first MV, Hung was more professional than me. I filmed it over and over again because every time he looked at me, I felt embarrassed and kept laughing,” she shared.

At the age of 55 and having gone through ups and downs, Thanh Lam said that what gives her faith and peace at this moment is the most simple feeling in life.

According to Thanh Lam, many people mistakenly think that only artists who have had many ups and downs can sing well. But the singer believes the opposite, only when a person's mind is at peace can they truly be sublimated with their voice.

"The small happiness around me and the peace I have in life are the encouragement that helps me sing most naturally," she said.

On this occasion, Thanh Lam also announced the album Cuon phim - a project that she and her crew have been nurturing for 3 years.

The 12 songs in the album were selected from hundreds of songs composed by musician Nguyen Vinh Tien over 10 years, from 2012-2022.

Thanh Lam listened very carefully and also changed the songs many times to suit the overall album, with her inherent voice and style.

In addition to singing solo in 9 songs, she invited 3 singers she loves: Tung Duong ( Ma non ro muong ), Ha Tran ( Hoa dang dang ) and Ali Hoang Duong ( Tren canh sau non ).

Attending the event, many guests expressed surprise at Thanh Lam's changes in the album.

Journalist Minh Duc commented that Thanh Lam's current energy and "professional passion" have truly returned. MC Nguyen Khang said that his senior is softer and more delicate, helping her attract a new audience of very young people.
