Summary of the Project "Propaganda and dissemination of the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard"

On March 26, the Ministry of National Defense held an online conference to summarize the Project "Propaganda and dissemination of the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard, period 2019-2023". Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired the conference.

Over the past 5 years of implementing the Project, ministries, branches, localities and units have closely followed the objectives, contents, tasks and implementation plans of the Project, mobilized maximum resources, promoted the role of the entire political system, diversified forms, applied models, programs, good, creative and flexible practices, suitable to the actual conditions of each locality and unit. The Ministry of National Defense has organized training on the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard (CSB) for 3,457 cadres and leaders of central ministries, branches, localities with sea and related agencies and units; organized the implementation of the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard into the monthly "Law Day" of agencies and units; "Law lessons" in schools, "Law study hours" in the Naval Academy, Border Guard Academy; successfully organized the National Online Contest to learn about the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard. Thereby, the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard has truly entered life, awareness and sense of law compliance of cadres, party members, armed forces and people of all walks of life have been constantly raised; the situation of law violations at sea by fishermen and people at sea has been strictly controlled and seriously handled, contributing significantly to the prevention and fight against crimes and law violations nationwide, meeting the requirements of national defense and security tasks, protecting sovereignty, order and safety of seas and islands and developing the local socio-economy; protecting marine resources and environment; encouraging fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea, contributing to building a solid national defense posture, people's security at sea, protecting sovereignty, security, order and safety in the seas and islands of the Fatherland, associated with the cause of sustainable development of Vietnam's marine economy.

In the coming time, the Ministry of National Defense will continue to closely coordinate with central departments, ministries, branches, localities with sea and relevant agencies and units to effectively implement the goals, contents, tasks and plans for implementing the Project. Diversify forms of propaganda and dissemination of the Project with many good, creative and flexible ways, suitable to the actual conditions of each subject and residential area. Strengthen the compilation, printing and distribution of documents related to the Project, meeting the requirements of accessing and learning about the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard of cadres, party members and people. Promote the role of press agencies to increase the length of special pages, columns and news articles about the Project. Strengthen information technology and digital transformation to improve the quality of dissemination and education of law and the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard...

On this occasion, the Ministry of National Defense awarded certificates of merit to 65 collectives and 108 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Project.
