Despite his young age, Le Quoc Dat (born in 2008, residing in Dong Thinh 7 Hamlet, My Phuoc Ward, Long Xuyen City) dropped out of school. Entering life early, without a job to support himself, Dat only knew how to hang out with friends. This young man joined the group to fight. According to the investigation results, on October 18, 2023, because he still owed money to Dang Huu Phuc (born in 2004, residing in Vinh Trach Commune, Thoai Son District), Huynh Cong Huu Hien (born in 2007, residing in Phu Hoa Town, Thoai Son District) had a conflict with his friend.
At noon on October 25, 2023, Hien had the idea of taking revenge on Phuc, so he called Dat and Huynh Nam Khang (born in 2009, residing in Thanh Nien hamlet, Phu Hoa town). The group arranged to meet at the house of Tran Minh Thuong (born in 2005, residing in Hoa Tay A hamlet, Phu Thuan commune, Thoai Son district). At this time, Dat went home to get a homemade knife, gave it to Hien and drove to Thuong's house. When he arrived, Hien saw Thuong, Khang, Duong Chi Thao (born in 2007, residing in My Thoi ward); Nguyen Tuan Kiet (born in 2008, residing in Binh Duc ward, Long Xuyen city) and Nguyen Trung Thanh (born in 2010) waiting.
At around 2 p.m. the same day, the group brought homemade knives to look for Phuc. When they arrived at the coffee shop (in Vinh Tay hamlet, Vinh Trach commune), they saw Phuc lying in a hammock, so Hien rushed in with a homemade knife and slashed him. Suddenly attacked, Phuc stood up and ran away, but was chased by Hien and Kiet with knives into the corner of the shop. Hien and Kiet slashed Phuc many times. Unable to fight back, Phuc struggled to escape to the back and was stopped by the shop owner. Afraid of being arrested, Hien's group got in the car and escaped from the scene. Phuc was taken for treatment by everyone, with a disability rate of 44%. From December 20, 2023 to April 24, 2024, Hien, Khang, Dat, Kiet, Thao and Thuong were prosecuted and detained for investigation. Dat and Thuong fled, so they were wanted.
On September 6, 2024, the People's Court of An Giang province opened a first-instance trial and sentenced Kiet to 3 years in prison; Khang to 2 years in prison; Thao to 3 years in prison and Hien to 3.5 years in prison, all for the crime of "Murder". As for Dat, after fleeing, seeing that he could not escape, on November 9, 2024, he turned himself in to the Investigation Police Agency. After considering all the relevant circumstances, the People's Court of the province sentenced the defendant Dat to 2 years in prison for the crime of "Murder". As for the defendant Thuong, he is still wanted.

Around February 2024, Tran Van Thanh (born in 1995, residing in Long An A hamlet, Long Phu ward, Tan Chau town) and Trinh Thi Dam My both worked as hired laborers in Cao Lanh district (Dong Thap province) and both developed feelings for each other and started living together as husband and wife. Around June 2024, Thanh returned home to live in Long Quoi An hamlet, Long Phu ward; My returned to live with her child (Long Thanh B hamlet, Long Thanh ward, Tan Chau town).
At around 6:30 p.m. on September 6, 2024, Lam Thi Diem Huong (My's friend) invited My and Tuoi to Huong's house in Long Quoi A hamlet, Long Phu ward to play. At this time, Thanh had just come home drunk and saw My bringing Sang Em a drink, so he became jealous. Without thinking, Thanh quickly took the knife that was ready in the trunk, went to grab Sang Em's shirt and stabbed her in the left hip. Being stabbed unexpectedly, Sang Em could only run away. Thanh chased after her but could not catch up, so he turned back and fled. At this time, Sang Em was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment by everyone, treated until September 17, 2024, and discharged from the hospital. Based on the forensic and forensic psychiatric examinations, the percentage of physical damage (temporary) caused by Sang Em's injuries at the time of the examination was determined to be 48%. On September 9, 2024, after recovering from his drunkenness, Thanh went to Long Phu Ward Police Station to surrender. The Provincial People's Court sentenced the defendant Thanh to 13 years in prison for the crime of "Murder".
