From 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on March 22, localities in the province turned off unnecessary electrical equipment to respond to Earth Hour 2025.

On many main streets and public places throughout the province, lighting systems, high-pressure lamps... were turned off to respond to the campaign.

2025 marks the 17th year that Vietnam has participated in the Earth Hour Campaign organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to raise public awareness of climate change and energy saving, protecting the climate and the Earth's ecosystem.

Many households simultaneously turned off their lighting equipment for one hour to respond to the campaign.

With the message “Green Shift - Green Future”, the Earth Hour 2025 event aims to send the community a message not only to save electricity, save energy and protect the environment in 1 hour but also that people need to do this regularly every day; contributing to responding to climate change, towards a green, clean and beautiful earth.

Responding to the Earth Hour 2025 campaign, on the evening of March 22, on many roads, main streets and public places throughout the province, lighting systems, high-pressure lamps, unnecessary electrical equipment... were turned off.

Many large hotels in Ha Long City have turned off unnecessary electrical equipment and advertising signs.

Shopping centers, supermarkets, infrastructure investors of industrial parks and industrial clusters in the province... have also turned off all unnecessary electrical equipment and advertising signs, and outdoor lighting during the Earth Hour event in 2025.

However, there are still some tourism service businesses in Ha Long City that have not really paid attention to and responded to the Earth Hour campaign.

According to statistics from Quang Ninh Electricity Company, in just 1 hour of responding to Earth Hour 2025, Quang Ninh saved about 25,000 kWh of electricity.
