On May 25, the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cultural and tourism exchanges between Vietnam and Korea.

This is the foundation for the two sides to coordinate in organizing large-scale events with strong Korean influences in Vinhomes urban areas, as well as promoting Vingroup's products and services to reach the Korean community. According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides will coordinate in promoting and organizing cultural and tourism events in Vinhomes' destination urban areas nationwide, contributing to spreading Korean culture in Vietnam. The two sides also committed to carrying out cultural and tourism promotion activities. Specifically, the Korea Tourism Organization will support the introduction of brands and products such as Vinhomes, VinFast, Vinpearl, Vincom, etc. to the Korean community in Vietnam as well as people in Korea. The focus of Korea Travel Festa is K-POP and V-POP art performances, booths promoting products, services and tourism for the Korean community and Hallyu fans; while the focus of Summer K-Day is the explosion of "Korean-standard" entertainment and experience activities. According to Mr. Lee Hak Ju, Deputy Director General of the Korea Tourism Organization , since establishing diplomatic relations in 1992, Vietnam and Korea have achieved cooperative results in many fields, such as politics and economics. "Notably, people-to-people exchanges have been very active, with the number of tourists between the two countries exceeding 4 million in 2023 alone. Through the signing of a cooperation agreement between Vingroup and the Korea Tourism Organization today, the two sides set a common goal of expanding exchanges and further promoting tourism cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries in the coming time," Mr. Lee shared. Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vingroup, said that with the active support of the Korea Tourism Organization, Vingroup will simultaneously deploy a series of cultural events, experiential activities and outstanding services aimed at Korean customers and residents. "We are also improving the planning of products and destinations to better serve the community," Mr. Quang emphasized. It can be seen that the Korean mark is currently being clearly shown in some Vinhomes urban areas, creating "touch points" that attract the Korean community in Vietnam as well as Vietnamese people who love Korean culture, such as the "Korean street" K-Town at Vinhomes Ocean Park 2, K-Park cultural park at Vinhomes Royal Island, KGS international school at Vinhomes Ocean Park 1, Vinhomes Grand Park... Besides the infrastructure, Vingroup and the brands in the Group's ecosystem also regularly organize many entertainment, art, and culinary events with a strong "Kim Chi country" flavor such as the K-Day in K-Town Festival, K-Food Fair, K-Festival in Grand Park... attracting tens of thousands of visitors, bringing special and meaningful Korean festivals.
The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup took place in the context that the two governments have established a comprehensive strategic partnership, especially prioritizing the promotion of cultural exchange activities, developing new tourism products, promoting two-way tourist exchanges, etc. The Korean community in Vietnam is currently the 10th largest overseas Korean community in the world and the second largest in Southeast Asia. Vietnam is also the leading market in Southeast Asia in terms of the number of tourists in general and MICE tourists in particular to Korea.
