At the meeting, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong expressed to the President of Indonesia his desire to contribute to the strong promotion of green transformation in this country. In response, Mr. Prabowo Subianto and the Indonesian Government pledged to enthusiastically support VinFast's development journey.

According to a report by MetroTV, one of Indonesia's leading media outlets, Indonesia and Vietnam aim to strengthen economic cooperation and raise bilateral trade to 18 billion USD. The automotive industry, led by VinFast, is identified as one of the key areas of cooperation.

Sharing the content of the meeting with the media, Minister of Investment and Industry Rosan Roeslani emphasized that Vietnam is one of the pioneering investment partners that Indonesia especially welcomes in the field of electric vehicles. He said that VinFast has broken ground on a 120-hectare electric vehicle factory in Subang, West Java. The total investment value is expected to be up to 4 trillion Rupiah.

In the first phase, the factory will have a production capacity of about 50,000 electric vehicles per year.

In addition to the manufacturing plant, VinFast also plans to invest in an electric vehicle charging station infrastructure system in Indonesia. In the first phase, VinFast will deploy 30,000 charging stations nationwide. In the future, VinFast will expand this network to 100,000 charging stations, mainly concentrated on Java Island.
